Thanks. I was hoping I could join you this past weekend and ride this area. We had the Power Team in all weekend at church for an evangelistic cmpaign. I was a counselor. I was looking for a ride Sunday afternoon. I might shoot for the St. Albans loop next weekend

I like the name of the ride and the route. I've been on all of these roads and have actually done a slight variation of this before. Nice route Ned.

Beemer - Thanks. This looks like a great ride. I may have to look up a couple of the roads first. The good news is the weather is starting to cooperate more :-)

I agree - Highway 100 is a great ride. I will have to try 19 when the weather is more cooperative.
Thanks

Ya'll are fortunate to have good roads to ride. Here in NWMo we have to be very selective of what roads to take because of the blown-up asphalt we deal with here. Usually, we end up trekking on up into Iowa to ride on their concrete roads vs asphalt here.I look forward to getting "down south" again next summer. But all is good when you're riding with God!

Thanx Lonewolf, Both of those highways are very good roads to ride. I have noticed, that the further South you are on them, the better they get. It sounds to me like we need to have a long day ride to the Rivers Edge sometime!

I really like 185. You pick it up off of Hwy 100 between Washington and New Haven, about 4 miles west of Washington. You can take it all the way down to Potosi. Great sweepers and a few twisties. Beautiful countryside.

Also, Hwy 19 heading south from I-70. This will take you almost all the way into AR. You get twisties, sweepers, rollers, just about everything. It's a long way, but just across the border into AR, there is a nice little restaurant that has some great pie. Rivers Edge, I think is the name. It's at the corner of 63 and 9, right in town. Good food and great pie.

It's hard to go wrong with highway 94, except for riding through St. Charles. If we could just by pass the section from I-370 to I-64, it would just about be perfect.

Beemer -
Thanks for posting this. I have always wondered what is out there. My favorite for now is Highway 94 from near Washington alll the way to West Alton. Cannot wait to try others.

Here is another local favorite. From I-64 /highway 40 just west of the Missouri River, take Mo. 94 Southwest to Jefferson City. Hard to get lost when you don't have to change roads!

Here is an easy on, that you can't go wrong with.
From Highway I-70 & Mo. 79 take 79 North to Highway Y on left. Take to it's end in the village of Chain of Rocks. At the only stop sign, turn right onto OO. Right on to highway C, left on C about 3/4 mile, then right onto S. Ethlyn Road. Take it to Highway (left) on highway 47. Then Right on highway W. Take it to it's end in Clarksville, Mo. Left on highway 79 to Hannibal, Mo. to come back South, you can just take Highway 79 back to I-70, or the superslab highway 61 to Wentzville, Mo. & I-70.
